Ottir Pilot Agreement

Last updated April 2026. This agreement is between Ottir and the aquatic facility named in the pilot application. By participating in the Ottir pilot program, both parties agree to the following.

What Ottir provides

  • Full access to the Ottir desktop app for the duration of the pilot period.
  • Remote setup and configuration by the Ottir team.
  • Ongoing support via email.

What the pilot involves

  • The pilot is provided at no cost.
  • The pilot period begins when your system is configured and ends when either party chooses to stop.
  • Either party may end the pilot at any time with no obligation.

What we ask from you

  • Honest feedback when something is not working.
  • Permission to use anonymized detection data to improve the model.
  • Permission to reference your facility as a case study if it is a good fit. We will always ask before doing so.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for ensuring your camera setup meets the basic requirements communicated during onboarding.
  • You are responsible for informing your staff that an AI monitoring system is in use.
  • You are responsible for informing swimmers that AI monitoring is active at your facility — for example by posting a notice at the entrance.
  • You remain solely and entirely responsible for swimmer safety at all times.

Liability

Ottir is pilot software. It is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Ottir is a monitoring aid only and does not replace trained lifeguards or other safety personnel. Ottir, its founders, and its team are not liable for any injury, drowning, incident, or loss occurring at your facility, whether or not the Ottir system was active at the time.

Data and privacy

Video never leaves your facility. The Ottir app runs entirely on your local hardware. Anonymized detection metadata and alert clips are uploaded to secure cloud storage solely for model improvement. No raw footage is transmitted or stored offsite.
